Our sommelier-led tastings are designed to spark real conversation and genuine connection. There are no PowerPoints, no awkward icebreakers, and absolutely no pressure to purchase wine. Just a knowledgeable, warm guide walking your group through a carefully curated selection of wines — making every guest feel comfortable, curious, and engaged, whether they know wine or not.
Let's Talk Wine was founded by Lea Williams, a Certified Wine Specialist (CWS) with nearly 30 years in New York hospitality. Our sommeliers have hosted events for healthcare systems, financial institutions, law firms, and creative agencies across New York City. Every event is customized to your group, your goals, and your timeline.
Here's what your corporate wine tasting looks like, from booking to last sip:
1. You reach out (5 minutes). Tell us your date, approximate group size, and whether you want to host at your office or a venue. We respond within one business day.
2. We customize your tasting (we handle this). Based on your group, we curate a selection of 5–6 wines spanning styles — a crisp white, a rosé, a light red, a full-bodied red, and often a surprise. We can theme the tasting by region (Italian wines, French classics), by style (Old World vs New World), or keep it approachable for all levels.
3. We arrive early and set up. Our sommelier arrives 30–45 minutes before your guests to arrange glassware, open wines, and set out cheese and accompaniments. You don't lift a finger.
4. The tasting begins. We guide your group through each wine — appearance, aroma, palate, finish. We make it accessible and fun, not intimidating. Guests learn how to really taste wine, how to describe what they're experiencing, and how different regions and grapes compare. Questions are encouraged.
5. Conversation takes over. The best part of every tasting is what happens naturally: people relax, talk, laugh. Wine is one of the best conversation starters in the world. Your team leaves knowing each other better.
6. We clean up and go. We pack everything, remove all waste, and leave your space exactly as we found it.
Most corporate tastings run 90 minutes to 2 hours. We're flexible on timing and can accommodate a pre-dinner format, a standalone afternoon event, or an end-of-day celebration.
