Never been to a sommelier-led wine tasting before? You're in for a treat. Here's a quick look at what the experience actually involves — so you can show up relaxed and ready to enjoy it.

It's More Relaxed Than You Think

A lot of people assume wine tastings are intimidating — full of jargon, judgment, and the pressure to 'get it right.' A good sommelier-led tasting is the opposite. It's curious, conversational, and genuinely fun. There are no wrong answers, only interesting ones.

You'll Taste 4–8 Wines

Most tastings feature a curated flight of wines chosen around a theme — a region, a grape variety, or a style comparison. At Let's Talk Wine, we typically design a menu of 6 wines that tell a story and give guests a real range of flavors to explore.

The Sommelier Guides You Through Each Wine

Before each pour, your sommelier will share the context — where the wine is from, how it was made, what to look for in the glass. You'll learn to observe the color, nose the aromas, and taste with intention. It sounds technical but feels completely natural in practice.

Great Food Is Part of It

Wine and food are better together, and a thoughtfully curated cheese and charcuterie board is a staple of our tastings. Your sommelier will often guide you through specific pairings as you go.

You'll Leave With Something

Every guest receives tasting notes to take home — a record of the wines, the producers, and your own observations from the evening. It's a small detail that makes the experience feel complete.

Whether it's your first tasting or your fiftieth, a Let's Talk Wine event is designed to feel welcoming, interesting, and genuinely enjoyable for everyone at the table.
